Empowering Teens through Style and Design

FSHN:fwd

The Program

FSHN:fwd is an innovative youth fashion education program designed to inspire and educate students in grades 7 to 12 about the dynamic industry of fashion. Open to all skill levels, the program welcomes budding creatives, from those with a casual interest in style to aspiring designers looking to take their passion to the next level.

Spanning one full academic year, FSHN:fwd provides participants with hands-on learning experiences that cover the fundamentals of fashion design, trend forecasting, styling, garment construction, and the diverse career opportunities within the fashion industry. The program blends creative exploration with practical skills, giving students the confidence to bring their ideas to life.

Participating in a fashion program can help teenagers build a sense of community. Working alongside peers with similar interests fosters collaboration, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. They can share ideas, give and receive feedback, and support each other in their creative endeavors. This community aspect can be particularly beneficial for teenagers who might struggle to find their niche in traditional school settings, providing them with a space where they feel valued and understood.

FSHN:fwd is more than a program; it’s a journey of creativity, self-expression, and professional development. Students leave not only with enhanced skills but also with the confidence and inspiration to pursue their dreams in the fashion industry.
